Terms and Conditions
The full terms and conditions for remi bakery are outlined below. By buying a product or paying a deposit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and have accepted these terms and conditions.
General T&Cs (applies to all purchases unless stated otherwise)
Once your deposit has been received or a purchase has been made, you enter into a legally binding contract with remi bakery, which must be upheld by both parties.
Cancellation Policy
- (This section does not apply to special occasion orders. see "special occasion" section for these orders.)
- If you need to cancel your order more than 72 hours before the pick up/shipment date, we will refund you fully.
- If a cancellation occurs less than 72 hours before the pick up date, we reserve the right not to provide a refund.
- remi bakery retains the right to cancel your order in very unusual circumstances beyond our control, such as fire or ill health, during which we will try to give as much notice as possible and refund any money taken in full.
Delivery and Pick up
- Delivery is available only for special occasion orders (see special occasion section), and for orders within our delivery area. The delivery charge is calculated based on mileage and time in both cases. If delivery is arranged, we will make every effort to ensure that your cake is delivered in perfect condition.
- All other cakes must be collected from the remi bakery premises at the allocated pick up time.
- Failure to collect your order on Friday 9am-4pm may result in your order being unable to be collected and cancelled with no refund. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to wait for late collections.
- Please contact us before ordering if you need a different time/day for pick up/delivery and we can try to accommodate you.
Damage
- remi bakery will not be held liable for any damage to the product once it has left our premises or our care during local delivery. A cake care card will be included with your order, and a cake care message will be sent prior to collection. There are also cake care instructions in the FAQ section on our home page. Please read this in full before collecting your order.
- Our cookies our posted using royal mail. We take cake to package the cookies as well as we can, however, sometimes they may get damaged during transport. If your cookies come damaged, please let as know as soon as you get your order with photo proof and we will try to figure out what went wrong.
Allergens
- Please be aware that while ingredients such as nuts are not included in all products, our kitchen does handle nuts and is therefore not a nut-free environment. As a result, we cannot guarantee that products will be completely free of nut traces.
- It is the customer's responsibility to communicate all allergen information to anyone consuming the products purchased from remi bakery. Ingredients are listed under each product listing and an ingredient card comes with each purchase.
Complaints
- In the unlikely event that you have a complaint about your cake, please inform remi bakery immediately. Depends on complaint, the return of the cake may be needed for future inspection. Should you have concerns about your cake, please notify us immediately upon collection/delivery of the cake so that we have the opportunity to rectify it in time for your event. All other concerns should be made via email, and evidence of the fault should be included. No refunds are given due to change of mind.
Other
- We reserve the right to photograph your order and use it for social edia advertising and marketing purposes.
- We reserve the right to refuse an order at any point.
Special Occasion Orders
Pricing
- Following your initial inquiry, please note that your quote is valid for 48 hours only. By paying your deposit, you secure this price and protect yourself from any future price increases, except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control (e.g., significant increases in ingredient or fuel prices).
Deposits and Payments

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full price is required to secure the commission of your cake/order and the chosen date with remi bakery, this payment must be made at booking, unless otherwise agreed upon by remi bakery.
- Please note that we cannot and will not hold dates without a deposit. The deposit is essential to secure your booking.
Payment
- Final payment for your cake is required no later than 4 weeks before the scheduled collection or delivery date. Full payment must be received in full and cleared in our account prior to the event; otherwise, the order will not be released.
- Please note that failure to respond to communications regarding outstanding payments may result in the inability to make future bookings.
- Payment should be made via bank transfer to the designated bank account, which will be provided.
Cancellation Policy
- If you need to cancel your order more than 28 days before the agreed collection or delivery date, we will refund any payments made, excluding the non-refundable deposit.
- If you need to postpone an event, or need to make changes to the collection date more that 28 days before the original date, remi bakery will endeavour to transfer your order providing the date is available, otherwise it will be treated as a cancellation.
- If a cancellation occurs less than 28 days before the agreed collection date, we reserve the right to retain your non-refundable deposit, and any further refunds for other payments will be made at our sole discretion and not be guaranteed due to time already spent on the consultation and any loss.
- We cannot postpone or make changes to dates less than 28 days before the original. We will retain your original deposit which cannot be transferred to a new booking, and you will have to make a new booking with us.
- remi bakery retains the right to cancel the booking in very unusual circumstances beyond our control, such as fire or ill health, during which we will refund any money taken in full.
Cake Reproduction and design Policy
- Any cake ordered based on a picture or photo of a cake created by another cake maker will be reproduced only as our interpretation of that design. It will not be an exact replica of the cake shown in the picture or photo.
- Each cake is made individually by hand, and while we strive for consistency, some variations may occur.
- We do not create cakes that feature writing, or ones that are covered in fondant.
Non-Edible Items
- Please be aware that most cakes contain inedible items. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that these items are removed by you, your caterer, or guests before consumption. Examples of inedible items include support dowels in tiered cakes, ribbon, and toothpicks used to hold decorative elements in place.
Damage
- Please remember that cake decorations are delicate items, and remi bakery cannot accept responsibility for any damage that occurs after the cake has left our possession. If any damage occurs after collection or delivery, you may inform us and request a repair, which will be priced accordingly.
- Tiered cakes are particularly vulnerable during transport, so we encourage you to seek our advice on how to transport your cake safely or to request delivery (available at an additional charge).
Delivery
- We are happy to deliver your order to a location at a reasonable distance to remi bakery, we will let you know if it is possible as soon as you tell us that you desire delivery and the location for it. The delivery charge is calculated based on mileage and time. If delivery is arranged, we will make every effort to ensure that your order is delivered in perfect condition.
